Tompok

Tompok ,the friendly cat is here asking for food. She is pregnant. My father and brother had gone to the night market to buy dinner. My mother is in Penang visiting my youngest sister. She said she was very tired . She too, is in her hometown Sik , Kedah to visit her father .
I had bought the bee's wax . At long last , I have the elusive bee's wax. The person from bahterayubalam had been kind enough to send to the house. It cost me RM 48.00 for 800 gram. I had weighed the wax.
Tompok the pregnant cat is asking for more food. She will give birth soon. I hope she gives birth at home but it will be a problem since I cannot take care of them. I have been watching Malay dramas , travel channel and Asian food channel all this while.
On Friday I went to One Utama , which is nearby. My mother dropped me off before she went to her weekly Tupperware meeting. I went to the Cold Storage, Jaya Jusco , an organic store at the new wing to see Avalon products. I also browse the books at MPH and Popular . I saw two Malay books on knitting and crochet. I had seen the books while searching for knitting on Net.
I have bought a crochet hook and a yarn. Not that I know how to crochet. My mother knows how to do both , knitting and crochet. I tried to learn from the You Tube channel but somehow I could not do it . Not even the slip knot. So, I think I 'd better buy a book. I will buy the Jarum Kait Satu book before I buy other books on crochet because I do not want to get discouraged.
My sister is going to Dubai in September.   My dream is to visit London.

Crochet

I have been browsing about life as a housewife. My baby niece is at home. She is about 8 months old. I have been embroidering daily. I just made a flower a day. I have been thinking about doing something else. Ribbon embroidery is beautiful. I thought about trying either crochet or knitting.
My parents told me to stick to one thing at a time , and to finish all the thread I have been buying. I think I will try crochet. The shop nearby sells a lot of sewing stuff. I saw a lot of of knitting and crocheting yarn. It looks simple enough but I do not know. I tried to learn crochet back when I was in standard six. That was long ago.
The cat which come to my house , comes every day at about 6- 7 pm. I think cats always come to the house this hour. Last time a cat called Awang also use to come to the house . Poor cat , he became so sick. The female cat who is a stray cat is pregnant. Cats are very clever, they knew where to find people who loves them. I did not want to buy any cats because I know there will always be some cats which will come to the house.
My day as a housewife starts very late. I have been thinking of scrubbing the toilet floor.

Saturday

I went to Kinokuniya book store today to browse the craft books. There is Ann Cox and Helen Gibbs to name a few and a bunch of Japanese books. On making bags . I think I will do bags. There is a very nice book on baby booties. I just spend the day in KLCC the bookstore.
I feel tired today . Yesterday was not nice day either . So I will concentrate on whatever nice things I have in mind . I have embroidered three flowers . There is about 13 more flowers to go. My mother and sister said it was nice. My sisters came for the Chinese New Year.
Well the home made business had not been launched . I have been planning for the business since 2007. It has not even started. I hang some pictures of my dream house and rooms. I hang it on the wall so that I have some things to dream about.

I saw many books on cats. I feel very sad whenever I think of Cleopatra Chomel. I felt guilty. There is a stray cat from the back yard who is getting friendlier everyday. She comes into the house for food and I give her. She used to come yesterday and she slept in front of the house. I will try to be friendlier to her. She even lets me hold her in my arms. I think I have to buy a book on how to take care of cats. This time is for serious . I do not want to repeat what I had done or did not do. Cats are gentle creatures. I love them. I don't think I can write about my dead cats.It is too painful. They always appear when I am very sad. Is this a sign or are they just hungry ?

White Linen

I bought 1 metre of white linen at Kamdar 2 days ago. It was by accident that I went there. So I bought the linen as embroidery is said to be good on white linen. So , I will start that about a quarter of the linen because I feel that I will be bored and tired to do a 1 meter of material .
I had washed the linen.
My brother Mal is selling perfume. I have contacted a bee's wax seller from Johor. He is from bahterayubalam in Skudai Johor. He told me that the smaller bee's wax is from RM 5.00 and the 1 kg bee's wax is about RM 50.00. He will contact me when he goes back to Johor . I hope I can have the bee's wax . It has been a long time to locate it since of money constraints . So if and when I get the wax I can start making a face cream.

French Onion Soup

Today I made a french onion soup. I have not made an onion soup before . It sounded easy . It cost me about RM 25.00 to make the soup. The soup tasted sweet. I used yellow onions since the guys in the food videos said to use sweet onions , so I bought some from Cold storage.
Well here are some pictures. I don't really know how to adjust the photos. There are three photos. The ingredients I used. The big pot of onion soup and a small bowl of soup with the french bread and melted cheese. I use whatever cheese I have. It took about 50 minutes before the onions start to caramelize. I use beef stock cubes and my mother gave me some of the beef stock she made when she used the pressure cooker.

My embroidery stuff

These are some of my embroidered flowers which I have done. The lilac and green ones are long and short stitch embroidery which I learn from the Trish Burr book.

Embroidery

Last week , I went to Kinokuniya to buy a book by Trish Burr. At first I wanted to ask my sister to buy another book by her from Amazon but then I saw that there is a book by her available in the Kinokuniya website. So , off I went . I like her book because of it's beautiful flowers. There is a shop near my house which sells the DMC thread. I went there twice. For the right colour. So far I had brought about 10 threads. I started to embroider two flowers. They turned out very nice, so I say to my self.
I had an asthma attack last Wednesday. I feel very tired and stopped using the air-conditioner. My sister in-law too is in the hospital. I hope she will recover. These asthma attack in not predictable. I remember being alone and having one of it's attack.
As for my new hobby , I still have not upload any pictures. Let's see maybe later.
