Abdul Samad Al Qurashi Tibr Al Oud

This is a very nice bakhoor from Abdul Samad Al Qurashi.  It is agarwood powder .The smell is  lovely and  relaxing. This is the second jar I have , since I loved the smell so much.  I would use it a few times a month depending on my mood.  There are other bakhoor I have yet to try from this company.  I have asked my brother Mal to buy this one for me from Madinah . He is here with his wife for nearly a month.

My sister Nas and Yati are back in Malaysia  with their families. Sadd will be back in August while Zahid and his family won't be coming back this Aidil Fitri  this year.

Tumeric, Neem and Sandalwood mask

 A few years ago, I was into tumeric mask and products. Somehow it fizzled away . This year I wanted to use tumeric mask again. I wanted to buy the Kasturi Manjal which is wild tumeric or Temulawa. When my father went to Wisma Yakin around Jalan Masjid India , he bought a bottle for me. 

I bought the chick pea powder or besan to be used with tumeric powder. At first I tried the tumeric with honey and milk according to the You Tube videos. Then I started using    tumeric , chickpea powder and water only. I used the this mask every alternate day . The next week , I went to KL and stopped at Samy's Cash and Carry store , the same store my father went to . 

 I  bought another bottle of tumeric, sandalwood and neem powder. Along with a bath powder and rosewater  . The girl at the store told me to use a little bit of tumeric.  I think I have used more tumeric and I got two large pimples.  I stopped using the tumeric mask  for awhile. I did use neem powder and rose water on to the pimples.  Later , two nights ago I tried another recipe using 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt , 1/4 tsp tumeric powder and 1/2 tsp sandalwood powder. This recipe can be used 4 times . 

The price of the tumeric powder is RM 2.90 for 50 grms, while the neem powder and sandalwood powder is RM 3.50 each for 50 grms.  The rose water is RM 4.90 for 125 ml.  All the powder are from Srri Easwari Mills Sdn Bhd and could be found in most  Indian grocery stores . I have enough powders to use as a face  mask  or body mask for  a few months to come. I can use the powders with yogurt , honey or lime juice . The list is endless.

Kokuryu Super Summer Cake

This is another gift from my sister Nas in Riyadh. It is a face powder . One has to use it with the big puff provided. This face powder is popular . It is also called the Arab powder . This face powder or Summer cake is manufactured in the Phillipines with Japanese technology.

There are many colours to choose from , I got the Orange Blush which is suitable for fair skin  .The Russet one is suitable for  most Malay  skin. Some of the benefits of this powder are , it can last for 8 hours , it can be used for prayers, it could dry pimples , it is a 3 in 1  -moisturiser , foundation and powder all in one and it does not darken the skin. Furthermore the skin looks better when you sweat.

The way to use this powder is to  dampen the puff , squeeze the puff and apply the powder.  I normally wet my face then moisten the puff and then apply on the face. My face looked powdered but then it is ok. This powder comes in two sizes , 25grm and 50 grm.The price varies  from RM 45 TO RM 70 depending on the seller .You can buy this powder online . This powder can last up to 3 months or more . Thank you Nas for this powder .

Jamu Ratu Malaya Bio Calamine Essence

I have  used Calamine lotion in the past for any irritation on my face and other parts of the body. A few months ago I bought this product since it has the pink calamine and other herbs . It has a certain smell but it is not unpleasant.
 Some of the benefits of this lotion which is also a medicated cooling powder or bedak sejuk are for skin  irritation ,  pimples , to get rid of dead cells , insect bites  and eczema.  I have used this calamine lotion for a pimple two days ago. You have to shake the bottle first and apply after shower or bath. The pimple came to a head after two days with twice application day and night. I am happy to use this product as I have used calamine lotion in the past . The price for this lotion is RM 19.90 . You can find it at most Jamu kiosks or buy it on line.

Elianto Eye Shadow

Sugar brown on top and Toffee brown below

I have two Elianto eyeshadow in the brown shade. One is toffee brown from the Luminous shadow  and another Sugar brown from the Sheen shadow  range  . I like the Sugar brown more . Both are pigmented.  There are many colours to choose from . The toffee brown is more matte and the colour is nearly black . I don't wear it much though. Maybe when I am in the mood to do the smokey eye once in awhile.

 I thought of buying a few more colours  and buy their eye shadow case. Perhaps a black and a gold colour and all the other  shades of brown available. Their  eyeshadow is very affordable which is  around RM 9.00 to RM 12.00 and their shops are in  most malls in town.

Bioderma Sensibio H20

This is another product which I cannot resist  buying. Like many others I first saw this  product in the You Tube videos. This is said to be very good and one of the best out there . It is a micellar water made in France. There are other  companies produce micellar solution  apart from this company such as Avene, Melvita ,Yves Rocher and Lancome .

I bought this cleanser at a pharmacy in  Al Bait shopping centre which is in the Zam Zam tower in Mecca. It could also be found in the Boots pharmacy. It is very easy to  take off makeup with this cleanser . I normally use 3 cotton pads to do so.  However , I find that it stings a bit when I want to take off the eye liner. There is another variant for the cleanser which is for combination skin.
The price for this cleanser is SR 84 which is around RM 70 .  This cleanser is not available at any major pharmacies in Malaysia  at the moment. However , one can get this cleanser online from the local companies such as Impian Wanita and Serendipity.com.Would I buy this cleanser again ? Perhaps  the bigger bottle.

Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipstick in 122 and 161

Whenever I go overseas , I usually buy a lipstick or two. I love Guerlain lipsticks . This particular lipstick  is available since 2011.

 So this time I bought two at the duty free store in KLIA .  One is 161 in Cherry Blossom  and another  one a  deep red lipstick  , in no. 122 called Liu. Guerlain  do have nice red lipsticks  , Vega and Samsara looked tempting  . I was looking for Le Heure Bleue in 168  but it was not available.  The 161 lipstick  is a very pale pink. It looks more like a shine than lip colour but I liked it too. Since red lipstick   is in vogue this year ,  I thought of buying another red lipstick . 

Guerlain lipstick is sold at SAR 184 in Saudi while it is RM 109.00 at the duty free shop in KLIA .
