Last  Sunday , we went to the  D'Tandoor restaurant   at Damansara Utama for dinner. Rafiq and his family with the three of us. I think the last time I went to D'Tandoor was about 7 or 8 years ago. They have shifted their  restaurant to the row of  slimming and spa shops .

My father is 76 years old . We ordered two kinds of bryani rice , the Hydrebadi and Mughlai bryani which is lamb and chicken. The meal was not  complete without the sizzling chicken tandoori. This chicken is not the dry version with was quite  nice with  garlic naan.  We also ordered  a beef  dish called Jal Frezy which is not spicy . For dessert  we ordered Gulab Jamun which come piping hot and the Rashmalai which is cooler . So , it was a memorable night .  Thank you to my brother Rafiq for the nice treat . He was thinking of going to D' Tandoor again , soon.

I do not have any  new pink lipstick. So , the other day when I went to Watson's I bought a new lipstick from Simply Siti. It is a beautiful pink called "Cinta Ini".  There is only one left so I quickly bought it. It is a moisturizing lipstick.  Since I liked the colour very much , I decided to buy another pink lipstick. This time I bought the a striking pink lipstick called  " Janji Kasih". My mother had swatched another colour , the sapphire line lipstick. It is very nice brownish colour.  There is the year end  sale , so the lipstick was sold at RM 28.00 compared to  the retail price of RM 35.00. What I need now is a nice lipliner .

Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Essence

I have used the Olay Regenerist  Night Resurfacing  essence for three weeks. The night essence has gylcolic acid in it. It is in a 50 ml bottle.One of the reasons that I bought this essence is to get rid of the acne marks. I have 5 of those , after 3 weeks the marks have not faded as much as I have wanted. I used only one pump of the essence in the first week. This product broke me out but the pimples were small  thank goodness . I also have redness on the face every morning . I used calamine lotion to ease the redness.
After 2 weeks, I don't have any redness anymore . My face looked clearer . In the third week , I started to use 3 pumps of the essence . One pump for the neck and two pumps for the face.  The essence  spreads easily and it is not sticky.  My neck looks better with this product.  I think  I can use this essence for another  1 1/2 month. The price for this essence is RM 99.00 at the time of purchase.

Aiken Spot Away Pimple cream

This pimple cream works well. I have used this cream for about three weeks. It is in a small tube. The pimples normally shrink after about 4 to 5 days of application. . For daily  cleansing I use De Wajah cleansing milk, Antheia soap and Aiken toner.The price of this pimple cream is RM 9.90 .I would buy this cream again.

It has been raining every afternoon or evening nowadays.Today the kittens and Fifi came back early but Fifi escaped only to come back home after the heavy rain.

Lunch at Manhattan Fish Market

My other sister Sadd had also treated us to a  meal. My mother and I went to the Manhattan Fish Market restaurant at Ecurve on Monday. My father was fasting that day.  Both of us wanted to try the Lobster platter which was available at the restaurant among other  platters . This is my third time to the restaurant. The first two times we went to  the one in Ikano.  

We had to wait for  about 30 minutes until the flaming platter came. We had mussels in garlic creamy sauce while waiting for the dish.  The dish was delicious , and  we had a fine time eating.  We were very full and had to take away. Thank you to my sister Sadd for the meal . Jazakallahhu khair.

Dinner at Homst Restaurant TTDI

Yesterday was my 47th birthday. My dear sister Yati treated us for dinner at the  Homst Chinese Muslim restaurant   in TTDI. At first ,  I wanted to go to the Manhattan Fish market but my father said that he is not into that kind of food. Furthermore  he had a  headache and did not want to walk so far.

 My brother GG called in the evening , he said that  we should go to another restaurant but there was no parking .He came with his family. So our "rezeki" is at Homst. We have been to Homst restaurant  many times. The food was very nice  . I am very  happy  to have dinner with my family. Thank you dear Yati. Jazaakallahu khair.

The kittens Gebu and Maxi would go out every morning along with their mother Fifi. In the early morning , they dashed out only to come back scampering when it rains around 1 to 3 pm daily.  I brought Jingga to the vet because he would  not eat. After two jabs and a charcoal pill , he regained his appetite. I have changed their dry food to Evo cat and kitten food instead of the regular Science Plan kitten food. I think Fifi is no longer a kitten  .Fifi and Gebu  did  not   like the new food  . Maxi and Koko the cat outside however ,  liked  Evo. Jingga does not go out nowadays. He would sit quietly on the sofa or sleep in my bedroom.

Aiken Tea Tree oil toner and oil

I have been using the Aiken Tea Tree oil toner eversince I have the zits. The price is RM 5.90. This is the second bottle I had purchased .   I bought the Aiken Tea Tree oil a few days ago and had applied the oil on the pimples . So far the pimple  on my nose had receded .Now I have pimple marks to get rid off .

 The price for the Tea Tree oil is RM 12.90 but since there is a guardian sale , I got it for RM 10.96. The Aiken Tea Tea range has  a  cleanser, toner  , moisturizer ,spot away cream and the tea tree oil. The range is affordable and I think I will check out the moisturizer too . This  is another good product from Winpro Unza the company which produces  Safi and Skinz among others.

Jamu Ratu Malaya Antheia soap

 
Last week I had tiny pimples. I wrote much  too soon. This week  I have 3 more pimples with , two cystic ones . I don't know why, with the internet line going off almost every day. I decided to buy the Antheia soap from Jamu Ratu Malaya another range from Sendayu Tinggi. It is a clear soap for pimples and sensitive skin. I have used the soap for a few days .  It is a clear soap of 80 gm which is sold for  RM 23.00. I am interested in their Bio Miracle Serum and Cream . The combo looks promising.In the past I have tried products from Sendayu Tinggi especially their beverages  supplements.

Tomorrow is Aidil Adha , my sisters Nas and  Yati and my brother  Mal are  in Mecca to perform Hajj. I hope Allah will   bless them with an accepted Hajj ( Hajj Mabrur). Rafiq and his family are  here for Aidil Adha and had bought the compulsory Lemang for tomorrow. My mother had cooked rendang. Tomorrow she wants to visit our grandmother in Ampang.

De Wajah Aging soap

A few days ago , I started to have tiny pimples on my forehead. Since then , I thought of changing new skincare much to my mother's irritation . My husband too said that I have no problem with my face . Well to be honest , I don't have much problem just tiny pimples not nasty large  ones . Sometimes I just feel like trying new creams or soaps . That is not a good thing.

 So, I decided to buy an aging soap from De Wajah. I have been using their  skincare products   for 10 months. The pigmentation on my face had reduced so much . I am really happy for that.  I thought of going to their shop in Shah Alam for facial  but my mother said she felt tired to drive there. She is 68 years old , so I don't want to bother her . I have used the soap for 6 days. I feel this soap is good. They have another soap called the black medicated soap . It is in a green box . I have not seen the soap about but it is available online. The aging  soap costs RM 45.00. I have cut the soap into two.

Diorific Lipstick in Corail Hip Hop

I love Diorific lipsticks. I got the shade in No.024 which is Corail Hip Hop. The colour is a mixture of bright orange and red . There is some shimmer like the Nocturne one. I like this variant .  I have not tried the pink one , perhaps later in the year I will search for a nice pink lipstick.The price is RM 95.00.

I have seen the doctor this morning and had the stitches on my arm off . This time the scar healed nicely with the use of the Aqua gel and thanks to the magic of the Haruan. I think this time around I will use Dermatix. The pimple had subsided after using the Etude  pink powder spot for about 3 to 4 days. I have to buy another one soon.

Second operation

I am back at home after my operation on the 26th September. The doctor said that I have to remove the old plate as quickly as possible. My sisters Sadd and her children and Nas and her children had gone and arrived in Riyadh safely . All my sisters are there . The operation went well, my father had bought ikan Haruan a few days after the operation. Thank you for all the doa for me. I came back this Tuesday , my beloved husband had borrowed a lamp for the hand. It is good I can wear the clothes easily. I have one big pimple  . Still it is one and only .

Tanaka White Double Whitening Renewal Night Cream

I bought this night cream because of the good reviews  .This is Bio Essence new Tanaka White 4x Anti-Dark fighters range . I have  used the  night cream for 10 days. It is a short while , I have to say. My skin broke out . I am not sure it  is  because of this cream since I have been using makeup daily or it is the time of the month. Or  the stress with my cat Jingga  going for surgery , the bills and I too have to go through another surgery soon.

Usually I don't break out this much .  I have a large cystic pimple . I don't know why I am getting another  nasty big one again  this month .  I am not going to rule out this cream yet. So I started to use this cream again last two nights. I have stopped wearing makeup and I  use  only Clean and Clear face wash. The price for this night cream was RM 50.90 during sales , and it is about RM 60 at normal price. The range comprises of  cleanser foam , clarifying toner , serum , day cream and night cream.

On Monday I went to the Sephora store in Paradigm Mall,Kelana Jaya. I went to check out the Mario Badescu  products. I am interested in the Buffering lotion which costs RM 135.00 which is suitable for large cystic acne which I now  have . How expensive .I am toying with the idea to buy. The drying cream costs RM 99.00 while the world famous drying lotion is RM 135.00.
They have their acne repair  kit at  RM 300.00 which includes a drying lotion , a drying cream and buffering lotion. At first I was interested in the drying cream. The products from Mario Badescu sold at Sephora are for acne only , I was hoping to see their whitening mask.

Aura Life Aura Amaze Shampoo

My aunt said that this shampoo makes her hair better. I like to have long hair but usually   I  find it difficult to manage long hair.  I had tried several shampoo but I find this shampoo does  make my hair softer . I like that it is enriched with rosemary , thyme and lavender extract with vitamin B5. I have few tangles with this shampoo. It is in a small bottle but it comes in a pouch with other product. The price of this nice shampoo is RM 13.00.

Skinz Infinite Eye Revive Therapy

I bought Skinz because of Nurul , I have to confess. The Infinite range is for aging concern.  Since I am out of eye cream, I decided to try a new one . I have used this cream for nearly two weeks night and day. The dark circle that I have has lessened. I find that there is improvement  the eye area. It does look better than before.It does not sting .The Skinz infinite range has won  awards for their  day cream ,serum and eye cream.
 The deep lines though has not  diminished. To be fair,  I only started using an eye cream last year so it is quite difficult to erase the fine lines but not impossible. My sister Sadd and her lovely children are here before they go  to Riyadh soon.Insha allah . All her children love cats and like my kittens and Fifi very much. Today they brought back their beautiful fluffy Persian called Fandisha. She is big and beautiful. Today I bought my cat Jingga to the UPM Veterinary hospital in Serdang . After getting his xray , the kind vet said that he will have to undergo surgery again.

Naturactor Silky Lucent powder

I received  the Naturactor Silky Lucent powder or the loose powder a few days before Aidil Fitri. I ordered the No.51 shade . The colour of the powder is beige . I think for the No.41 loose powder  , the shade is more towards yellow. This is the third Meiko product I have. I think I need to order the Naturactor cover foundation in No.151. The Octard one is very soft  , it is for dry skin while the Naturactor one is for oilier skin . I think I  prefer the  Naturactor foundation .  The powder is good with the Octard foundation but  I looked too fair. There are  5 shades from the Japanese Naturactor range with one being a concealer. Overall the foundation is good , it does cover and one can look flawless . I think I will make do with what I have at the moment.

My brother Mal has gone back to Madinah last evening while Zahid and his family returned to Seychelles a day before. Tomorrow we will say goodbye to Yati and her husband. Nas has not received her visa while Sadd will go to Riyadh later. My brother GG and family is here for dinner.

Maybelline Eye and lip makeup remover

This is my first Maybelline makeup remover. I think this product has been on the shelf for quite awhile. It is in a small plastic bottle .The product does not sting. You have to shake the bottle first for the blue film to mix together. I have been eyeing their new duo eyeshadow . Sometimes I think that cleansing milk should do the trick , well. However , I like this makeup remover .It is easily available . The price for this eye and lip makeup remover is RM 16.90.

Mal's wedding at Bakti , TTDI is tomorrow from 12.00 noon to 4 .00 pm. My siblings are at home and someof them are  at Bakti. My father is very tired . Of all the times , a big pimple had cropped up above the corner of my mouth. I had used Oxy 10 cover cream which had worked very well.  I think I am more partial to Benzoyl Peroxide compared  to Salicylic Acid.

Kose Seikisho Perfect Cleansing oil

Cleansing oil has been around. I have used cleansing milk to remove my makeup for a long time. Eversince I saw the Kanebo Cleansing oil in the red bottle I am interested in  cleansing oil. Since I feel like using makeup again I felt I need to use a cleansing oil to remove all the makeup throughly. I searched for the right cleansing oil. At last I decided to buy Kose Seikisho Perfect  cleansing oil. This being the first cleansing oil I have . The price is reasonable for an over the counter product. The brand is good.  The price for the cleansing oil is RM 85.00 for a 180 ml blue bottle. The cleansing oil is suitable for normal to oily skin. It is easy to use but it is for the face  only the SA said .You can use the oil with wet or dry hands. It has mineral oil in it .I did get a pimple after using it but nothing serious .  I don't know how long this cleansing oil will last . Perhaps I will buy this cleansing  oil again.
Nas and her children came back last night. Yati has arrived in  KL , her husband is here . She too will be going to Riyadh along with Sadd and her family . So there will be three sisters in Riyadh and Mal is in Madinah . My parents are so happy to be in the holy cities. Sadd and Zahid will arrive tonight . Tonight for iftar , the menu is Kampung menu.GG and his family will be around. Taei will come tomorrow night.Another feast . My mother has cooked her awesome fish curry and had grilled the sting ray . We haven't had Terubok fish for quite awhile . Nas has bought some roast chicken and will be making salad.  Ribena is  the favourite drink. It is nice to add with syrup much sweeter . To all my  Muslim readers , Selamat Hari Raya , Eid Mubarak and to everybody , happy holidays.

Niqah day 2012

Last Sunday , my brother Mal was married to his beloved A.A.Alhamdulillah.  The solemnization ceremony  or Aqad nikah took place at the bride's house. My brothers GG and Taei ,my sister  Nas and their families were present . So were my aunties , my uncle and my cousins. We broke fast there . My brother wore gold baju Melayu and the bride wore long  gold dress with lovely lace. My parents were very happy. My brother's closest friend did the hantaran or gifts for  the bride. Both Nas and I  think that  the gifts were beautiful with the boxes and fresh roses. Today Mal is here with his wife. He will be going back to Madinah on the 29th and his wife will follow in 2 or 3 months time.

Face Shop Magic Cover BB Cream

I received a Face Shop Magic BB cream from my sister when she went to Korea  some weeks ago. Thank you dear. It is my first BB cream . I have jumped in bandwagon  at last . Faceshop products are available in Malaysia. I have not checked their BB cream ,maybe I will  do so , some time next week.

The colour I got is Natural beige . The cream is thick and I need to use about one pump.If I use a lot my face  will turn ashy in colour . So far I have been using it at home almost daily. Maybe I will buy another BB cream in the near future.

A wedding in the air

My youngest brother Mal is going to get married insya allah on the 5th of August. He is very happy and I wish all the best to him. He has the girl of his dream . he he . My other siblings will arrive after 15th August so we will have a fullhouse in about 3 weeks time. This time around the colour for all of us is green . All shades of green. The kittens are two months now and Fifi has been spayed .

Octard Cover Foundation

This is another cover foundation from Meiko. It is called Octard. I bought this foundation online after reading reviews about it. It is really soft and the colour No S51 has yellow undertone , it is the same colour with the No 151 from the Naturactor range. I just need to use little bit of this cream to cover my face. The coverage is full and good.  I think I have to use their Silky Lucent powder to set the cream as it does not really go  well with my Mustika Ratu loose powder or the other powders I have. The price of  the foundation is RM 52.00 but I have a good price from the seller .
Today is my mother's 68th birthday. We , Mal , my parents and I went to Homst Restaurant in TTDI. Mal had ordered before we went there. I think everyone was hungry and I ate quite fast.

Christian Dior Rogue Dior lipstick in 961

This is another lipstick from my lovely sister , Yati. It is a very  beautiful red lipstick in the number 961 , Nocturne. It is not a bright or engine red. It is a dark red with gold undertones. I love this lipstick.
